I hear people sometimes say LAISH or LAYSH instead of LEMAD'A ,, am I right to use it?

(Laish) means (Why) but in colloquial Arabic,, sometimes people use (Laih) too, depends on the country.. it is always better to use (Lemad’a).

Just voicing my appreciation of Arabicpod; wonderful job, Ehab and Moshaya! I dip into it every now and then to listen to some conversations and -lo and behold- arabic words and phrases are sticking in my brain even though I never really intended to try learning. It's down to the informal, easy-listening style I think.
One question: What's the nice music that plays at the start and end of each lesson?

Another thing; you mention different accents like Gulf Arabic, Sham, Egyptian and Morroccan, but what about the Arabic spoken in Algeria...is that different again?

Regarding your second question, the dialect that is used in Algeria comes under the Moroccan category, by the way, Morocco in Arabic is Alma3'reb, which means (the west), it is called that because it is in the west of the Arabic countries and normally we call Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and Morocco as Alma3'reb Al3araby.

I read about the music in the forum but unfortunately neither of the 2 links to listen to the whole song is currently working. Incidently, for anyone interested in more, hauntingly beautiful music, there's this chant of a Bahá'í scripture in Arabic on Youtube...although I suspect it is quite well known already because it seems widely distributed across different internet sites. In spite of this however, I couldn't find any details of the woman whose lovely, soothing voice sings it.
