again very practical - my arabic is improving significantly since i follow your "e-course" - question here : laa + iussief to express an "negative order" لا تنسي .I do not understand why the verb ends with siin - you do explain it briefly but i dont get it -salaam

If the root of the verb ends with a vowel, like نسي,and the present tense verb ends with alef maq9oorah - ى - (not yaa ي) like in تنسى, then when you order someone using that verb you drop the alef almaq9oorah (ى) from the end, like in the order Don't forget (لا تنسَ).
You could just remember it as it was mentioned above, however, the reason behind it is that when you order someone by using fe3l alamr, you apply a sokoon harakah (silent letter) at the end of the verb. Now in verbs that end with vowels, you have to drop the vowel because the vowel already has a sokoon haraka at the end of it, and there is a master rule in Arabic that two sokoons must not come after each other.
