Json3; If it is followed by noun, then use maa, otherwise use maad'a. i.e.:
ماذا حصل Maad'a 7a9al? (What happened? followed be verb)
ما اسمك Maa ismok? (What is your name? followed by noun)

how do you know when to use haad'ihi [f] or had'a [m] in a sentnce does it depend on the subject u r talking about

(haad'a - هذا) is masculine and (haad'ihi - هذه) is feminine,, straightforward

oh thanks..i remember in the lesson EATING WHAT? u used haad'a هذ instead of haad'ihi هذه in the first sentence.. if u were to use haad'ihi would that make any difference or change the meaning of the sentence

Yes, we used (haad'a) in lesson "Eating what" because we were talking about cockroach, which is masuline in Arabic

i don't like the sound affects in the videos. for example the office ones has turning pages. and this one has people sniffing. it sounds weird. maybe try to make the background noises a little quieter

I disagree with t50409143 about the sound effects. I think they are great! Except for the one with the crying baby (in a later lesson)...its difficult to listen to sometimes.

I used the vocabulary in this amazing burnt cake lesson to surprise my love that I had learnt to read and speak arabic. He is still shocked that I could learn so fast! I have now past my first "birthday" of learning arabic with arabicpod! :D
