Btw,I have some questions.

1:3'anny and 7aawely are feminine,then can a3ref become 3refy when someone is ordering a woman to sing?

2:Also 'munkin' is not used under this kind of situation?

3:I was a little surprised that a word 'karaoke',which is originally Japanese, is used in Arabic too.It literally means 'kara=empty oke=orchestra'.Is karaoke popular in Arabic countries?

Glad you enjoyed the lesson. The answers of your questions are as follows:
1- The word (a3ref) means (I know), and the feminine order of it is (e3rafy), so you got it close.
2- You can use (mumkin) in the order pattern, so instead of saying (3'anny) which is (sing) as an order one can say (mumkin t3'anny) which is (could you sing?). Notice the use of present tense verb after (mumkin).
3- Nice to know the origin of (karaoke). Karaoke is known in the Arab countries, probably not that popular, but still well known.

@Yajahmar, you can say "Your turn to ....." by saying 'doorak' then a present tense verb where the subject is 'you' e.g.

دورك تغني
Doorak ti3'anny
Your turn to sing

دورك تأكل
Doorak ta2kul
Your turn to eat

When put 'sing' into my translator ; it gives me 'ghanna'. I'm assuming this is the male form of 'sing'

@Yajahmar, 3'anna - غنى is the past tense version which means 'he sung'

Cool. So,3'anna - غنى :'he sung'. She says,
'3'anny'. If it were a male, how would he say 'sing'

Ok,He sang:3'anna
& how do you say, she sang?

omg!Im sorry, 'she sung'

In imperative verbs (commands), the gender of the speaker does not make any difference, so a guy would ask a girl to sing by saying (3'anny غنّي) and a girl would ask another girl to sing by saying (3'anny غنّي) as well.

I have a quick question can you also "la a3rif kayfa an agani" (لا أعرف كيف أن أغني) would that also make sense?

Your sentence was almost correct, just remove the 'an' after 'kayfa' and it will be fine i.e.

لا أعرف كيف أغني
Laa a3ref kayf a3'anny
I don't know how to sing

'An' doesn't usually come after 'kayf', you would usually just put the verb straight after e.g.

كيف تأكل الآن؟
How are you eating now?

كيف تفتحه؟
How do you open it?

thank you for your explanation I just thought you would have to add "an" in order for it to make sense but now I understand. So the kayfa acts as "how to" altogether right? But other verbs you would normally add "an" for example ureed an ashoofak ( I want to see you)..so is "an" used between two verbs?

whats the difference between Hawil and jarrib?
